| Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Detre is a former President of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and former Dean of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and School of Public Health.
Dr. Detre received his BA in Classical Languages from the Gymnasium of Piarist Fathers in Hungary (1942) and his MD from the University of Rome School of Medicine (1952). After conducting a rotating internship at Morrisania City Hospital in New York, Dr. Detre completed his residency in psychiatry at Mt. Sinai Hospital and the Yale University School of Medicine.
